September 2015 Meeting

There will be no September meeting for the CCCA. Our next meeting will be in October, likely the 19th.

All are instead encouraged dattend the September County board meetings on September 19, 21 and 24th. They will be covering :

  • The Courthouse Square plan
  • The renewing the exception allowing for the Dentist’s Office at Courthouse Plaza
  • Outdoor seating permits for Iota and Citizen Burger Bar
  • Renewing the live entertainment permit for Ragtime
  • A proposal to turn a retail space in the building connected to the Clarendon metro into a conference room space
  • A proposal to remove four parking spaces from the Market Common parking garage to make space for a mechanical room

August 2015 Meeting

The August CCCA Meeting  was held Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.

  • Representatives will present their proposed site development for 2000 Clarendon Blvd.  Note this site is located just outside CCCA boundaries but county staff will seek our input on the project

    Staff from the Arlington Farmers Market (the one Saturday mornings in Courthouse square) will discuss how we can work together

July 2015 Meeting

The July CCCA Meeting Monday was held on July 20, 2015, at 7:30 p.m.

Agenda

  1. Captain Kamran Afzal, Arlington County Police Department Commander, 2nd District Police Team
    Captain Afzal is the representative to the CCCA from the Arlington County Police. He is coming to discuss ongoing issues in our neighborhood and to hear any comments from residents.
  2. Report Out from County Board Meeting
    On Saturday, July 18th, the County will have considered both the Retail Action Plan and the staff’s proposed plan for Courthouse Square. We will discuss the outcomes from those items and how the CCCA can further engage in it.
  3. CCCA Wider Engagement
    A website is being built to be a public face for the civic association. We’ll discuss what materials we’d like to make available on it and how we can best utilize this new resource. We will also discuss how we can better engage our neighborhood more broadly.
